Tensions between North Korea and the United States have been at an all time high recently. President Donald Trump has made it clear that he will not put up will their reckless and dangerous behavior like former President Barack Obama did. He has been very clear in his motives and will attack if he thinks the United States is threatened. Even after all of these threats, North Korea still has not stopped testing its nuclear weapons.
In response, President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have sent out a joint statement giving North Korea a huge threat. It should be obvious now that they should not carry out these weapon tests.
Vice President Mike Pence went to Seoul, South Korea this week to see exactly what was going on. He wanted to be right in the middle of it when he sent this message to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
“The era of strategic patience is over. President Trump has made it clear that the patience of the United States and our allies in this region has run out and we want to see change. We want to see North Korea abandon its reckless path of development of nuclear weapons; and, also, its continual use and testing of ballistic missiles in unacceptable.”
This statement comes during the time that North Korea’s Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol said, “We’ll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.” He went on to say that any action taken would result in “all out war” with the United States.
“If the United States is planning a military attack against us, we will react with a nuclear preemptive strike by our own style and method.”
Hopefully this all gets figured out very soon. Do you support Trump in the way he is dealing with North Korea?
