President Trump did something outstanding. He welcomed 18 Green Berets into the Oval office, something that has never happened in the White House.Of course, the liberal media didn’t report this, but that is why you have us.
So far, it’s been a month of Trump’s presidency, and he has made a lot of progress. But when he met a new class of Green Beret candidates, that was worth seeing.
He even brought those candidates into the Oval Office and did a little photo shoot with them.
Breitbart reports that the 18 gathered officers in the Special Forces Qualification Course, also known as “Q-course,” paid a visit to the National Security Council at the beginning of February, which is pretty standard for them.
This time, the Deputy Assistant to the President, Sebastian Gorka, suggested that everyone should meed the president.
The agenda was to take the officers into the Roosevelt Room in the West Wing of the White House. However, Donald Trump had another idea. He invited them in the Oval Office for some photo shoot.
In an interview for Breitbart News, Gorka said, “Halfway through the discussion, [Trump] said, ‘Hey — we’re not supposed to do this but follow me, and he brought them all into the Oval Office, took a group photograph around the Resolute desk, and then — throwing the schedules into a bit of a tizzy, said OK that’s not good enough.’”
He continued, “He said, ‘everybody stand in the corner.’ They all stood in the corner, and one-by-one we took photographs they can take home to their family with each future Green Beret next to the president at the Oval Office desk.”
He finished by saying, “That’s how much he loves our soldiers — our warriors.”
Gorka brought up the meeting on a panel at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday. He said that under Obama, they “wouldn’t have even gotten into the West Wing.”
